The return of "SULU SERIES NYC" - a platform to cultivate Asian Pacific American artists in New York City & worldwide. Named after the Star Trek character Sulu, played by George Takei, SULU SERIES NYC has long & strong roots amongst the Asian Pacific American artistic community. Pioneers such as Taiyo Na, Dj Boo, Regie Cabico, Terry Park...just to name a few, have put in years of work to build spaces in NYC & Washington DC that support Asian Pacific American artists. On Friday, July 29th, 2016, we are inviting the community back to launch a seasonal open mic/showcase at The Kraine Theater (part of the Horse Trade Theater Group) in the Lower Eastside of Manhattan.

Featuring NYC's own, Jackson Li, one of the hottest Hip Hop emcee's to rip the mic & the Bay Area's own Nicole Maxali, multitalented actress/performing artist. Join us as we celebrate The Return of SULU SERIES NYC!
