Performing on July 17th, 2009 (Manhattan)

Warm greetings comrades and allies,

On July 17th Poptimes Magazine, a network of Filipino American musicians in NY & NJ, will hold a show to help raise funds for the National Filipino American Youth conference.

Among other things, this conference aims to bring together youth (including but not limited to Filipino American youth) to sum-up and share experiences in the movement against U.S. led wars of aggression/intervention and highlight the Filipino American youth experiences and analysis of forced migration and systemic racism in the workplace, education system, media, immigration and justice system.

There is a great need for this national conference (organized by Ugnayan [NY/NJ] Kabataan maka-Bayan [Los Angeles], Bakwis Collective [Illinois] and Committee on Pilipino Issues [Illinios].  Any and all support is hugely appreciated from our friends and allies!

Please help Ugnayan raise funds by donating original artworks and crafts, unique items, and food to our silent auction and sale during the show!

Please send a description and/or photo to Kim Baglieri at by Mon, July 13th.  From afar, contributions can be mailed to 4 Brandywine Way, Sicklerville, NJ, 08081 so they arrive by Thursday July 16th.
